Sept. 26: Block Party with East Meets West!

The founder of EMW is one of our oldest friends! And EMW was an early supporter of Kaki Lima Boston. Now they are holding a giant party and fundraiser in Somerville. We are going to be there cooking and it's going to be EPIC.

For those that don't know: EMW’s mission is to empower individuals and communities to realize their human potential through the transformative power of artistic expression. Here's some details about the event:

From noon 'til midnight, EMW is bringing together its family of artists, musicians, technologists, chefs and activists from all across the world to celebrate those who call EMW Bookstore on Mass Ave a second home. Block Party offers both FREE day programs opened to the public and a ticketed evening showcase; events will range from electronic music to beatboxing; spoken word performances to tech talks; a silent auction to community biology demonstrations. Your contribution helps EMW Bookstore produce a year of community programming. Help us make our goal of raising $15k by contributing or purchasing tickets below. More information here!

Check this space for details about what we will be serving during the event. We hope to see you there! And please support EMW! They do amazing work. And they are amazing people.
